DAY 2 6 series: M6 BELLA

From the E24 to the F12…no F13…wait nooo F14! Whatever chassis number they call it for the different designs (cabriolet, coupe, GT) its the M6 we are talking about. Looking better each year, the M6 is an M5 that hugs you with all its might  and gives you a race car sport like feel than a family event in the M5. 

I love it that bmw is still trying to stick with manuals, well at least testing popularity in the US. This also confused me when it was only the Gran Coupe that had the option. Usually sedans would be the ones least likely to have a manual transmission….whatever maybe in the 2015 models it will go to all models; doubt it. The V8 engine is an s63 so different from the outgoing e90/e92 M3’s which, will add value to these M3’s down the road. The only problem I have is that is not as agressive as it used to look. The M-spec models look a little more aggressive that the actual M-powered vehicles.

RANGI YA ARE ONE OF MADE VEHICLES THAT HAVE UNLIMITED TUNING CAPABILITY, HOWEVER ALL CARS SHOULD BE STREET LEGAL NO MATTER HOW ‘TRACK READY’ THEY ARE.

DAY 1: THE NEW 6

WITH THE  FRANKFURT AUTOSHOW ITS ONLY FEESABLE TO HAVE A GERMAN MADE CAR AS THE CAR OF THE WEEK. THE 6 SERIES HAS BEEN ON MY EYE FOR A WHILE, I’VE SOMETIMES LOVED LOOKING AT IT AND AT THE SAME TIME HATED THE CONCEPT AND DESIGN OF IT.

HOWEVER IT KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER IN STYLE, BUT HAS ALWAYS HAD AN AMAZING ENGINE EVEN IF ITS SHARED WITH ITS YOUNGER BROTHER/SISTER THE 5!

NOW WITH MORE COMPETITION RISING BMW EXECUTIVES ARE MAKING SO MANY CHANGES TO THE BRAND THAT I CAN’T KEEP UP. ONE OF THEM IS ADDING A GRAN COUPE TO OBVIOUSLY COMPETE WITH THE A7 OF AUDI AND CLS OF MERC; AS WELL AS OTHER BRANDS.

SALEEN S7 WEEK: FINAL DAY, THE FUTURE!

WITH THIS POSTING OF THE S7 SUPERCAR, IT SORT OF MERGED TOGETHER WITH STEVE SALEEN COMING BACK TO THE AUTO TUNING MARKET. THE COMPANY HAS BEEN QUIET FOR SOME TIME NOW, BUT MR. SALEEN SAYS THE COMPANY IS BACK AND A SUPERCAR IS SOON TO FOLLOW. THIS REPLACEMENT WILL FOLLOW WHERE THE S7 REPLACEMENT, THE S5S RAPTOR CONCEPT,  WAS SUPPOSED TO. ALTHOUGH I HAVE MY DOUBTS–SINCE INVESTORS ARE NEEDED FOR THIS PLAN TO WORK– I WILL TRY AND BE OPTIMISTIC SINCE I’VE ALWAYS LOVED SALEEN PRODUCTS.

S7 WEEK: DAY 4 TECH

LOOKING AT THE CAR, IT OBVIOUSLY LOOKS AMAZING WITH A SORT OF OLD FASHIONED NEW LOOK TO IT. SORT OF LIKE THE 2014 MUSTANGS AND CAMAROS.  COMING FROM A PROTOTYPE LE’MANS CAR (S7R) THE S7 DEFINITELY KEPT THE RACING HERITAGE IN ITS PRODUCTION SERIES. Saleen_S7R_Sascha_Bert

THE SUSPENSION SYSTEM AS WELL AS BRAKES WERE BOTH MADE IN COLLABORATION WITH SALEEN AND BREMBO, WHICH ARE MOSTLY RACING SPEC INSTRUMENTS. A CARBON FIBER CHASSIS WITH AN ALL ALUMINUM ENGINE PROVIDE A STRONGER REINFORCEMENT FOR THE VEHICLES BODY AND ENGINE. HOWEVER ITS HARD TO TELL HOW CARBON FIBER WILL REACT WITH TIME.

VIVID ASYMMETRICAL LAYOUT OF THE INTERIOR ALLOW THE DRIVER TO BE CENTERED IN A WAY THAT IT DOES NOT DISTORT THE WEIGHT OF THE CAR, ALSO GIVING THE DRIVER GREATER VISIBILITY. LEATHER INTERIOR WITH ALUMINIUM ACCENTS PROMOTE A LUXURIOUS FEEL IN A MONSTER RAISED IN A TRACK. A 6 DISC CD PLAYER, POWER WINDOWS, ADJUSTABLE PEDALS, LCD MONITOR WITH NAVIGATION AND REAR CAMERA ASSIST ARE SOME OF THE ITEMS THAT DIFFERENTIATE THE S7 FROM ITS RACING MOTHER THE S7R. HOWEVER ONCE YOU NOTICE ITS STEERING WHEEL CAN BE REMOVED AND THE RUMBLE OF THE V8, YOU BEGIN TO WISH FOR MORE WIDE OPEN ROADS.
