R32 WEEK: TOP SECRET DAY 3

LOST OF TUNERS HAVE TAKEN THE GTR TO THE EXTREME, BUT NON OTHER THAN ONE OF MY FAVORITES DOES A GOOD JOB AT IT. THIS TUNING COMPANY IS TOP SECRET. THEY MADE A VQ32 ENGINE FOR THE GTR R32. SOME MAY SAY THEY ARE CRAZY FOR TAKING A LEGEND FOR SURGERY , BUT I THINK IT’S VERY INNOVATIVE. HOWEVER IF IT WERE THE BNR34 I MIGHT FEEL A LITTLE BIT INDIFFERENT.

WHATEVER THE CASE, THIS CAR IS NOW REAR WHEEL DRIVE AND READY TO POUNCE ON THE NEXT PASSERBY. IT HAS A MODEST POWER BAND OF 350BHP & 286 FTLBS OF TORQUE. THE ENGINE COMES FOR THE Z33 NATIONS VQ35DE, AGAIN DON’T SHOOT THE MESSENGER BUT I AGREE THE RB26 SHOULD HAVE STAYED.

R32 GTR: Revival of a Legend

In 1989 Nissan brought back the GTR logo to the R32 Skyline, the GTR emblem was tucked away for 16 years and now it was time for it to see the light again. That logo has now been praised internationally by people who didn’t even know the car existed, this is all thanks to the R35 GTR.

In 1989 this legend wipped the competition in the early 90’s in Japanese race tracks and also in some European competitions–Spa 24 hours. A 2.4 Liter I6 Twin Turbo Engine pushing 280bhp, was thundering in Japan and came overseas shocking supercar companys that didn’t consider it in their league. The R35 is a definite innovative replica of the R32.

SO MERCEDES MAKING ALL THIS BUZZ WITH A DRIVER-LESS CAR IS COOL BUT LETS GO BACK TO DRIVING A CAR FOR A SECOND. I’VE ALWAYS THOUGHT THIS WHEN I WAS A KID, SEEING ALL THOSE LOW CARS I ALWAYS WONDERED HOW THEY GOT TO AND FROM PLACES. NOW THAT I HAVE A 3″ CLEARANCE I FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY WENT THROUGH.  WITH ALL THIS TECHNOLOGY AND SENSORS, I’VE ALSO WONDERED WHY DOESN’T A SUPER CAR COMPANY WITH CARS HAVING A LOW CLEARANCE COME UP WITH AN IDEA OF AN “ACA” (AUTOMATIC CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT)….YEA I CAME UP WITH IT.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:

1. DRIVING DOWN THE STREET

2. CHANGE IN ALTITUDE

3.  CAR SENSES AND ADJUSTS THE CAR TO CLEAR THE HILL OR SPEED BUMP OR STEEP INCLINE.

4. WALLAAAA!

THIS PRODUCT WOULD ALSO HAVE A ON OFF SWITCH, JUST AS THE VDC’S! OHHH MAN I THINK I SHOULD PATENT THIS! ALTHOUGH EASIER SAID THAN DONE THERE ARE SO MANY MOTION SENSORS, IR/NIGHT/ETC CAMERAS, AND OTHER PROBLEMS DAILY DRIVING MOTIONS THAT NEED TO BE FIGURED. HOWEVER IF WE ARE MAKING CARS THAT CAN DRIVE THEMSELVES WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO THIS, NO PROBLEM. IT WOULD HELP US LOW PROFILE RIDERS OUT!

DAY 2 6 series: M6 BELLA

From the E24 to the F12…no F13…wait nooo F14! Whatever chassis number they call it for the different designs (cabriolet, coupe, GT) its the M6 we are talking about. Looking better each year, the M6 is an M5 that hugs you with all its might  and gives you a race car sport like feel than a family event in the M5. 

I love it that bmw is still trying to stick with manuals, well at least testing popularity in the US. This also confused me when it was only the Gran Coupe that had the option. Usually sedans would be the ones least likely to have a manual transmission….whatever maybe in the 2015 models it will go to all models; doubt it. The V8 engine is an s63 so different from the outgoing e90/e92 M3’s which, will add value to these M3’s down the road. The only problem I have is that is not as agressive as it used to look. The M-spec models look a little more aggressive that the actual M-powered vehicles.

DAY 1: THE NEW 6

WITH THE  FRANKFURT AUTOSHOW ITS ONLY FEESABLE TO HAVE A GERMAN MADE CAR AS THE CAR OF THE WEEK. THE 6 SERIES HAS BEEN ON MY EYE FOR A WHILE, I’VE SOMETIMES LOVED LOOKING AT IT AND AT THE SAME TIME HATED THE CONCEPT AND DESIGN OF IT.

HOWEVER IT KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER IN STYLE, BUT HAS ALWAYS HAD AN AMAZING ENGINE EVEN IF ITS SHARED WITH ITS YOUNGER BROTHER/SISTER THE 5!
